Fourth Aquaprofit-Polgar Chess Day
The tradition continued on 27th of November, when the Aquaprofit-Polgar Chess Day was organized for the fourth time. The organizers hosted the chess festivities at the Hungarian Telekom Headquarters in Budapest, Hungary. All-day family programs, book presentations and opportunities to play awaited the visitors.
Like in previous years, the three chess champion Polgar sisters -each living on a different continent- Judit Polgar, Susan Polgar and Sofia Polgar, reunited in their native country to give simultaneous chess exhibitions on 100 boards. After the simul Judit and Susan played against each other in separate rooms, commenting their moves while playing, giving the opportunity for the audience to get an insight into the world of the grandmaster mind. Parallel to the commented grandmaster game, Sofia Polgar was giving chess lessons to children and beginner chess players. Among the participating players at the chess board, there were a number of celebrities, they too took up the challenge against the Polgar sisters. A surprise exhibition match was also played with the silver chess pieces: Play Chess with Trust.
