Entry fee: $15 plus + U. S. Chess Federation Membership: 1 yr. Adult $40, Young Adult(under 24) $26, Youth(under 15) $22, Scholastic(under 12) $17. Registration at 9 am, Sat.
Registration: 9:00 am
Rounds: Sat. 10:00 am, 2:30 pm, 7:00 pm
Time Controls: 40 moves 90 minutes, then 30 minutes sudden death. A three section time delay permitted with the clock starting 5 minutes late. 1st place each section $50. Any 6 player section will have 2nd place prize of $25.
Special conditions when some sections cannot have exactly 4 players: One section may need to be 6 players(the top ranked section). If an odd number of players is encountered then the directorwill decline to play.
There will be a 4‐ROUND TOURNEY FOR STUDENTS AGED 14 YEARS OR LESS ‐‐ requiring no memberships. Trophies for 1st and 2nd place. No time controls unless some games take too long ‐ in which case a 15 minute allowance will be made for finishing the game. The entry fee will be $2 per student. Expected times for rounds: 10 am, 11:30 am, 1:30 pm, 3 pm.
Bring your chess sets and chess clocks.
The Corvallis Chess Club also meets every Monday, 6:30 ‐ 9 pm, at the Old World
