Introduction to the Chess of the Visually and the Hearing Impaired
Host: Csaba Sinka, György Nemes

 

10:00 - 11:15 Testing and playing with tools in cooperation with Visually Impaired and Hearing Impaired players

11:30 - 12:00 Open chess training in sign language led by international master András Mészáros

12:30 – 13.00 Presentation of visually impaired devices (technical specifications, points of interest)
•    Traditional and innovative blind boards by György Nemes
•    Mechanical, digital and "talking" timers by :  Balázs Almádi

13.30 – 14.30 Blind Chess with Grandmasters presented by international masters Zoltán Varga and Attila Czebe
The two grandmasters play blindly, with their backs to the board, the moves are being taken by visually impaired players

15.00 – 15.30: Report on the ongoing Visually Impaired Chess Team European Championship by Róbert Kapás, Secretary General of the Hungarian Chess Federation     

15.30 – 16.30 Informal play
