Join the World Record Attempt Sept. 1 - Oct. 12

Judit Polgár is preparing for a Guinness record attempt that will connect thousands of children across continents. The international grandmaster and two-time chess Olympic champion is organizing a chess tournament with chesskid.com, the world's best-known children's chess website. The aim is to challenge at least 20,000 children to become joint world record holders, making it the largest online chess tournament of all time. The record attempt will start on September 1 and the finals are held on October 19, with the winners being given the opportunity to be trained by Judit Polgár. Every participant will be awarded an online certificate for their involvement.

“We are looking forward to the application of young Queens and Knights to fight their battles across continents and make chess history. The record attempt shows just how easily chess can connect people. Anyone from anywhere in the world can enter the tournament, which, thanks to a combined effort, can enter into the Guinness Book of Records. It will be a tremendous experience for the participants to be part of such a global success,” said Judit Polgár, the most successful female chess player of all time, who has been in the Guinness Book of Records for leading the women’s world ranking for the longest time, a quarter of a century.
