You are welcome to witness a unique experience and see how contemporary artist Andras Gyorfi converts the white canvas into magic in front of your eyes. Be part of a unique event, where in the middle of the excitement of the simultaneous chess games, he paints the magic of chess and creates an even more special atmosphere of the 5th Global Chess Festival in a spectacular setting at the Hungarian National Gallery.

Gyorfi's chess-themed oil paintings with their unique approach and exceptional artistic solutions, always make a fascinating experience for all spectators. Judit Polgar and the artist make an exceptional pair: Andras Gyorfi has followed Judit Polgar's sport carrier and has created numerous unique chess-themed artworks that also inspire Judit and her surroundings.

Bio:

Andras Gyorfi, Born in December 4, 1964 in Kaposvar, Hungary
Andras Gyorfi's artistic talent was been revealed early, at age nine he won the best drawing out of 5000 at the Indian Shankar international children contest. His teachers were artists Jozsef Molnar and Gyorgy Ruisz. He moved to Budapest in 1981 and got his architect diploma at the Ybl Miklos Technical Collage. Soon after his studies, he became involved in the Hungarian artistic life and from1984 publishes illustrations in the press. His first exhibition was in November of 1991 in a Mix-art gallery. In 1994 Gyorfi was invited to New York to the Agora Gallery which made a contract with the artist. He was the art director of the Polaris Gallery in Budapest 1994-1999. He had numerous exhibitions during the years in London, China, Malaysia, Los Angeles, Mexico, Turkey, Spain and other European countries.
