Based on last year's success, we would like to please chess enthusiasts aged 4-120 years again to compete in an international environment at the Global Chess Festival. All three Polgar sisters as well as World Champion Vladimir Kramnik will attend the Festival

 

Location: Hungarian National Gallery, 1014 Budapest, Szent György tér 2.

 

The organizer: Judit Polgar Chess Foundation, technical partner: Chess Federation of Budapest

 

Who can play? Unrated players and FIDE-registered players up to 2000 points. All who register will be notified until 7th of October, the latest.

 

 

 

Registration until 30th of September, 2019. Since the exclusive location can give place merely to a limited number of players, we can accept only those registrations which have been being made at the bottom of this page.  Hurry up, not to miss this opportunity! Admission is free for all players!

 

Tournament schedule: Registration at the venue: 10.00-10.25,  1st round: 10.30, 2nd round: 11.00,  3rd round: 11.30,  4th round: 12.00, 5th and last round: 12.30

 

Tournament rules: Swiss-based, 5 rounds, 10 minutes for thinking/game/player plus 2 seconds bonus per each move according to FIDE rapid rules.

 

Prizes: The first 3 winners will be given a special award along with gifts. Everyone will get a diploma.
